Misplaced Faith 6

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

None of these things are the fruit of a man or group of men. We become the workmanship of God and He enables us to do the works that He has ordained for each of us.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Do not expect a mortal man (a preacher) to give you more than the Word of God or save you. Do not expect a church to save you. Only God Himself can do that. WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD tells us specifically who prays to God and gets saved and specifically who does the saving. Whosoever means anyone. Anyone can pray and ask the Lord to save them and do His work in their heart and life. That God-supplied saving power is best described in John 7:38.

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Mortal men do not control that power or choose who it flows to and blesses.
